Drug Free Sport, LLC, located in Kansas City, Missouri, is the premier provider of drug-testing services in sport.  Drug Free Sport educates, trains, and maintains proficiency standards established by our various clients for independent collector contractors to perform drug-testing specimen collections.  Drug Free Sport’s contracted collectors are experienced, dedicated and well-educated professionals who understand the dynamics of different athletic environments.  Certified collectors are extensively trained and certified prior to providing collection services.  In addition to ongoing support, field audits, and continuing education, collectors must complete recertification every two years to maintain performance standards established by Drug Free Sport clients.



The position is responsible for assisting with the administration of Drug Free Sport’s learning management system (LMS) designed to prepare contracted collectors to perform specimen collections for all of Drug Free Sport’s drug-testing clients, as well as maintaining all collector proficiency standards.  Learning strategies include online courses and certification exams, in conjunction with on-the-job learning activities.  In addition, this position is responsible for assisting with classroom training courses, live recorded webinars and other corporate training processes.  The position will also include assisting with recruiting, onboarding, and contracting with collection companies.



  1. Provide excellent service to Drug Free Sport clients, and maintain strong, positive working relationships and communication with Drug Free Sport employees, independent contractors, laboratories, consultants, and other professional organizations.
  2. Assist in managing a comprehensive collector training, certification and proficiency program:
    1. Assist with identifying and contracting with third party learning management system and/or any other corporate training entities.
    2. Create, edit, and maintain current educational and operational resources and materials.
    3. Assist in developing and producing online training courses and certification credentialing, coordinating webinars and web-based training, and provide in-person, instructor-led traditional courses.
    4. Test all changes to the LMS system ensuring accuracy of eLearning modules, audience assignments and assessment scoring.
    5. Effectively administer, support and report learning initiatives.
    6. Manage users permissions, groups and license allocations.
    7. Partner with instructional designers and content developers, along with Drug Free Sport’s Information Technology department to design, deliver and support proprietary eLearning content requirements.
    8. Manage collector user accounts, assign learning plans and provide technical LMS support to staff and collector network in a timely manner.
  1. Assist the Director of Collector Development with managing collector training and certification:
    1. Collaborate with drug-testing operational staff to assure accuracy of content and client protocols.
    2. Assist in coordinating onsite training, mentoring, and crew preparedness training in the field for all collectors as needed.
    3. Provide detailed training and support to Drug Free Sport staff and collectors on collection policies and processes to ensure quality control of specimen collection for all Drug Free Sport clients.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of and experience in learning management systems
  • Proven experience in designing curricula and delivering training programs
  • Extensive experience in MS Office 2010, Windows 7, mobile technologies, web and database applications
  • Strong program management skills with ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a comfort level with public speaking
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal/listening) skills
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, including overnight trips
  • Pass pre-employment screening including background check, drug test, transcript verification, and confidentiality agreement


  • Master’s degree
  • Tech industry experience
  • Working knowledge of sport and drug prevention with emphasis on specimen collection procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with SCORM and HTML
  • Familiarity with cloud-based learning and performance systems
