Horseracing Integrity and Welfare Unit (HIWU)

Position Focus: The HIWU Investigations Network Operations Manager is a key contributor to the Horseracing Integrity and Welfare Unit (HIWU), a division of Drug Free Sport International/International Doping Tests & Management (DFSI-IDTM).  Teaming with the Director of Investigative Operations, the Investigations Network Manager will be responsible for assisting with the recruitment, training, oversight, and proficiency standards for independent contractors performing investigative work at specific racetracks throughout the country. The individual in this role will lead the execution of a blended learning program designed to prepare independent investigative contractors to perform HIWU-assigned investigations related to the legal policies and procedures for the Anti-Doping and Medication Control (ADMC) Program, and coordinate scheduling, work assignments, and invoice management for the independent contractors. This position is optional remote and reports to the Director of Investigative Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong, positive working relationships and communication with colleagues and independent investigative contractors.
  • Manage independent investigative contractors including but not limited to:
    – Recruitment for specific racetracks throughout the country.
    – Development of training materials.
    – Training.
    – Create and monitor work schedules and assignments to ensure appropriate coverage at specific racetracks throughout the country.
    – Triage job-related questions.
    – Review and approve invoices.
  • Ability to travel domestically including upon short notice as needed.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.
