Professional Sport Drug Testing Program Manager

Position Focus:   The Professional (Pro) Sport Drug Testing Program Manager is a key contributor to Drug Free Sport’s purpose of ensuring fairness in sport and health and safety for athletes with a passion to provide high level of service and commitment to excellence to multiple professional sport drug-testing programs.  The Pro Sport Drug Testing Program Manager will operate in a fast-paced work environment, contribute with administration management of department operations, and effectively communicate with team members and clients to achieve any mission, any time, with zero fatal flaws.  Contributions include performing quality control of collections; coordinating distribution of testing supplies to and communicating drug-testing logistics with collection contractors; conducting drug-test collections; and supporting the director of professional sport drug testing and other department staff as needed.

Summary of Qualifications:   To successfully perform this role, the individual must be analytical, an effective communicator, organized and self-directed.  He or she must uphold the company vision, possess strong integrity, and have a desire to serve our clients, contracted collectors and staff.  Essential requirements are strong communication; ability to manage multiple projects in a time sensitive environment; highly credible, ethical and persuasive interpersonal skills; and proficient working with the Internet and Microsoft Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.  The person in this role must have the minimum education level of a Bachelor’s degree.  This position requires the willingness and ability to travel domestically including upon short notice and weekends.  Passing a pre-employment screening, including background check, drug test, transcript verification, and confidentiality agreement, is also a requirement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent service to clients, Doping Control Officers (DCOs) and colleagues.
  • Manage the administration of the NASCAR drug-testing program including travel to on-site testing events; provide in-office scheduling support for the NASCAR pre-license program; oversee results reporting and management; and maintain strong relationships with NASCAR members and individual teams.
  • Administer collection services for other professional drug-testing clients including database management; scheduling, random selections and roster generation; shipments tracking; and quality control.
  • Monitor quality-of-service issues including supplies, shipping, drug-testing results and DCO deficiencies.
  • Maintain DCO status for applicable clients, and provide specimen collections domestically including upon short notice and at least 10 weekend trips.
  • Serve in the absence of other team members when necessary.
