Athletes continue to use dietary supplements to enhance performance, recovery, or nutritional biomarkers. This webinar uses data from Drug Free Sport AXIS to outline current trends in supplement use. With thousands of sports supplement sold and new ingredients being developed each year, this information will help educate on emerging ingredients of concern and marketing ploys to be aware of in order to protect athletes.

This webinar will address supplement safety concerns, top 5 ingredients in 2018, popular sports supplements, and ingredients to watch for in 2019.

At the end of this presentation, attendees will be better able to:

  1. Recognize dietary ingredients that pose a threat to drug tested athletes.
  2. Give examples of popular sports supplements.
  3. Apply 2018 supplement trends to conversations about supplement safety with athletes.
