Allison Lathim, M.Ed.
Senior Accounting Manager
As a former dual-sport athlete (basketball and softball) at Independence Community College and Newman University, Allison learned exponentially during her formative years about the importance of fair and safe sport. She further emphasized this during her six years of athletics administration and coaching experience in NCAA Division I basketball. Now, as Controller, Allison works with employees, customers, collectors, and vendors to ensure that all revenue and expenses are accurately recorded, invoiced, and paid in a timely fashion. She also works directly with Drug Free Sport International’s external certified public accounting (CPA) firm, assisting in the preparation of monthly compilations/financial statements and the annual audit, using skills that she developed during years as a Systems Analyst at a Fortune 500 company. Allison earned a master’s of education in sport management degree from Wichita State University and graduated magna cum laude from Newman University with a bachelor’s in accounting. She enjoys being a part of a working community that is passionate about and invested in their work.
