As a trusted leader in sport drug testing administration – where integrity, innovation, and athlete safety are at our core – we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the end-to-end product lifecycle across a portfolio of solutions that support our mission of ensuring clean and fair competition.

LocationKansas City, MO (Hybrid) – Minimum two days in-office, three days telework.

Position FocusThe Senior Product Manager will be responsible for shaping strategy, overseeing execution, and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple products across the organization. This role will align cross-functional stakeholders, ensure the delivery of measurable business outcomes, and promote a strong, customer-centric product culture throughout the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for assigned products or components.
  • Define and refine requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Backlog and Roadmap Contribution

  • Prioritize and maintain the backlog for areas of responsibility.
  • Contribute to product roadmaps and release planning under the guidance of the product leader.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Facilitate Product Counsel meetings to align multiple stakeholder groups on roadmap priorities.
  • Partner with external engineering, design and QA teams and internal operational teams to deliver features on time and within scope.
  • Communicate timelines, updates, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to stakeholders.

User Research and Feedback

  • Conduct and synthesize user research to validate problems and solutions.
  • Use data and feedback loops to inform decision-making and measure product outcomes.

Execution and Delivery

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, retrospectives for assigned workstreams.
  • Monitor product performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure responsible use of funds by tracking budgets vs. actuals, reporting variances, exceptions, and roadblocks.
  • Monitor system performance and functionality; escalate outages, recurring issues, or bottlenecks to appropriate teams and leadership.

Summary of QualificationsTo successfully perform this role, the individual must be analytical, detail-centric, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. The Senior Product Manager must uphold the organization’s vision, possess high integrity, and have a desire to be a positive team contributor. Essential requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Proven track record of managing all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with multiple external development partners by balancing priorities, managing expectations, and ensuring accountability for outcomes.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior ownership of complex product management with significant impact.
  • Proficient in Agile practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma, analytics dashboards).
  • Experience with wireframe and prototyping tools, backlog management tools, storyboards, and value stream diagramming.
  • Ability to define Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), prioritize based on value, and make tradeoff decisions.
  • Clear, persuasive communicator with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Skilled in facilitating discussions and driving alignment across teams.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into actionable product plans that drive product development.
  • Independently solves moderately complex problems.
  • Takes accountability for results and consistently delivers on commitments.
  • Effectively collaborates with multiple third-party development partners, balancing priorities, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
